Concepts within General Culture
Basic Concepts within General Culture
Each society, over time, has formed a cultural structure by internalizing basic concepts such as sports, art, science, religion, language, eating, drinking, and producing, which create different lifestyles. These cultural structures have revealed the differences in the concept of general culture among societies. General culture can be listed as tools for acquiring it; personal sensations like listening, watching, reading, writing, traveling, seeing, discussing, examining, and researching constitute informational culture. Although it contains information, general culture is not just factual information. Information can exist on its own without general culture. Just as general culture can be acquired through information, information can also be acquired through general culture. The sequence of basic concepts within general culture is; High culture, Subculture, Enculturation, Acculturation, Cultural diffusion, Cultural lag, Culture shock, Cultural imperialism, Cultural assimilation, Cultural decay. These concepts are called basic concepts and are explained in detail.
