How Do Lawn Injuries Occur?
Natural lawns used in ancient times, as well as harming football players, are difficult to maintain and use. The Football Federation, in order to put an end to these possible and experienced problems, had synthetic turf, which is most suitable for the surfaces of stadiums in indoor carpet fields, applied. In this way, since their maintenance is quite easy and effortless, it provides great convenience to individuals in terms of both cost and time. This system was first implemented in our country at the Ankara 19 Mayıs Stadium. Later, necessary applications were started in many facilities and stadiums. The production of artificial turf types, which dates back to very old times, began to be used most effectively with recreational systems in many different countries in the mid-1960s and subsequent years. On the other hand, these types of turf have gained worldwide fame in a short time due to their ease of maintenance and cost compared to the natural turf frequently used in ancient times, and have become everyone's first choice. In this way, injuries due to slipping or any other problem on the turf in all sports branches are prevented almost 100%.
